  Feet and legs are the part of the body that is most injured when playing sport. Some of these injuries are sudden and acute, and some build up over time and become a chronic overuse problem. The majority of injuries are related to the body’s mechanics during a specific sporting activity. Occasionally we see an injury which caused by poor footwear or an accident, for example a fall, but by in large the biomechanics are a major factor. Our Podiatrists treat sporting injuries by looking a the body’s biomechanics and the demands of the sport.
